National Weather Service “All Hazard Radio” System
Every home and business should have a NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio. These radios broadcasting weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. The radio broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Outdoor Siren System
The Village of Sherman has a system intended to warn residents, when they are outside, of an impending emergency. Learn what the different sirens sounds mean. The Village outdoor siren system is composed of four sirens which have an approximate range of 1 mile. They are located at:
- Sebring & Old Tipton School Road,
- Behind the Library at 2100 E. Andrew Road,
- Village Center Rd. at approximately 7.25N and
- South of Pine & Woodsmill Dr. intersection.
