The Williamsville Water Department who is responsible for the water system in Sherman has notified Village Hall that the Boil Order issued yesterday is lifted.

A BOIL ORDER HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR ORIGINAL SHERMAN

EFFECTIVE THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15TH
ENDING TO BE ANNOUNCED – UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Boil orders are issued when there is an interruption in water flow due to a water main break,
accidental cut, or required maintenance. You are advised to boil all water used for drinking,
preparing food, beverages, ice cubes, washing fruits and vegetables, or brushing teeth for five
{5) minutes prior to drinking it. This is a precautionary measure for residents' protection. It is
not necessary to boil tap water used for household purposes, such as showering, bathing or
laundry.

Due to required testing, the boil order will remain in effect for at least 24 hours {this may be
longer on weekends).

Residents will be notified when the order is lifted.
